In order to give newcomers a fast and comfortable entry into the world of industrial machine vision, Common Vision Blox now includes the CVB Foundation Package.
Why CVB Foundation Package?
There are many fundamental tasks in the world of image processing for which the same algorithms are used time and time again. Until now, these algorithms were available as separate modules in CVB and were licensed as required. CVB users will now be provided with an extended basic package with the name Common Vision Blox Foundation Package, making it easier for them to enter the modular world of CVB, and enabling them to immediately solve a whole range of application problems.
What is included in the CVB Foundation Package?
- The CVB ImageManager is still responsible for controlling the image capture hardware, for optimizing image display and for permitting abstracted access to the image by tools and algorithms.
- The graphical programming interface iTuition, which is a fast, intuitive method for creating image processing applications using a drag & drop simplicity, thus enabling the creation of applications without the need to purchase a compiler.
- Integrated basic machine vision functions for
- 2D spatial calibration of image data,
- dynamic thresholding,
- colour space conversion,
- image filtering,
- statistical evaluation of images,
- blob analysis and segmentation of objects,
- edge detection,
- correlation of images,
- superimposing destructive text overlays.
- In addition, the CVB Foundation Package can be extended with optional, specialised CVB Tools, enabling the user to solve even the most demanding machine vision applications rapidly.
